"Passport Series

Passport series is a travel photography project that began with an incredible summer trip to the south of Spain in 2021.

I've always had a hard time doing travel photography, I didn't feel comfortable shooting, it wasn't something exciting or creative for me, so I've never been very curious about it.

But I missed having an outlet, a personal project in which I could photograph without expectations, pressure or commitments.

In 2021 I decided to go on a 14-day road trip through the south of Spain, alone, and I also decided, so that I wouldn't regret it later, to take my camera and drone with me, so that if I felt like it, I could take pictures.

The truth is that the experience of traveling by car, of traveling alone, of being able to explore the places in the most organic and natural way possible, made perfect sense to photograph and make images of what caught my eye. In fact, photography and curiosity about colors, architecture, light and shadow guided my journey and my discovery of every nook and cranny of the places I visited.

There were few things he took with him when he walked the streets, but his camera was always one of them.

The unattractive experience became a habit, a taste and a necessity. Thus was born this series of photographs and this personal project.

At this point, I was in Granada. I arrived at the end of the day, near sunset, at one of the viewpoints, Miradouro de San Cristóbal, with a privileged view over the Alhambra

Today it remains one of the best memories of this trip. I felt something unique and indescribable, an unusual energy and beauty. The landscape, the light, the warm colors, the energy of that whole moment and what I had already seen and experienced on this trip, all came to a head at this very moment.

I know it's a place I'll have to return to one day. There are always many more things to see, visit and get to know than we visit on trips like this, so it will be a trip to make in the future.

ALHAMBRA

It was the first time I'd met or reconnected with a crowd of people in this post-Covid phase. There was a mixture of sensations, a feeling of returning to normal, people happy to be on vacation, together and gathered around street musicians, but some fear of being "too" close.

CÁDIS

After visiting several Unesco World Heritage sites, some of Spain 's famous white pueblos and what was considered the most dangerous walking route in the world, I have nothing but good memories and experiences from this adventure.

Cádiz was the last place to visit on this trip, which ends with the icing on the cake. For those who have the opportunity, visit the tower of Tavira, the highest point in the city and home to the first darkroom built in Spain.

Considering that the trip turned into a photography project, ending the trip in this way was undoubtedly the best way, and as incredible as it may seem, it was coincidence and luck that I made the visit the morning before returning home.

I hope to continue this journey, this project and maintain this special taste for street/travel photography. I count on you as regular visitors to this project
